One Day Workshop: Powder Wafer Mosaics

Our One Day Workshops are single-session, three hour workshops where you get to complete a project in a single sitting - all while learning something new and enjoying the company of other artists and enthusiasts.

The price includes all materials, firings, and the use of our exceptional coldworking shop for finishing the project on your own time.

Many fused glass techniques (including our own "Sky Windows" class) borrow from mosaics. Our Powder Wafer Mosaics workshop takes a unique approach that allows you to create vivid designs that have a look all their own.

In this guided project workshop, we'll provide you with a wide selection of pre-fired "powder wafer" (thin glass) pieces and teach you how to arrange and fuse them to create a complete bowl or tray.

We'll also discuss different finishing options, including covering with clear glass, shiny, and matte finished surfaces.

You'll complete project assembly during the workshop and, after firing, work at your convenience during open studio to coldwork (refine the projects edges) and prepare it for final firing to slump (shape).
