Common Questions and Answers

Q: I've never done anything like this! Is that okay?

Absolutely! No experience is required. We'll show you everything you need to know.

Q: I'm not very artistic. I'm worried my project will look hideous!

Nonesense! Glass is a beautiful material. We've never met anyone who couldn't make something nice with it.

Q: Is there a risk of getting burned?

Nope. This is a fused glass workshop. Unlike blown glass, which is completely different, you don't work with hot glass so there is no chance of burning yourself. Your project is melted in a kiln after you're finished.

Q: Do I need to reserve a seat?

Yes. We are limited to 10 guests per evening. Please call 512-996-0960 to reserve and pay for your seat. You may also call the day of the event to see if there are still available seats.

Q: Do you serve or can I bring alcohol?

Sharp glass and martinis...you can see where this is going. For safety reasons, this is a booze-free event.

Q: When will my project be ready?

Your project will be ready to pick up within a week. You'll get more details during the workshop.

Q: What kinds of things can I make?

We have six projects to choose from: a handkerchief-style vase, a sushi and sauce tray combo, an 8 inch plate, an 8 inch bowl, a set of four small dishes, and a two panel diptych art piece.

Q: My child is very mature. Can they come, too?

We have no doubt your kids are awesome, however unless they are 17 years or older we ask that you let some more birthdays pass before bringing them to a studio event.
