Advanced Strip Construction and Pattern Bars
This large bowl class includes an arsenal of advanced construction and design techniques.
For students who have had either our strip bowl or pattern bar class, this advanced course will cover a number of new and exciting techniques:
- Creating perfect boundries in strip construction.
- Micro-window pattern bars
- Alternative shaped pattern bars (slabs and non-rectangular)
- Deep Dimension Strips
- Terrazo Vitra
- Grouting
- Uneven Strip Construction
- Multigenerational Pattern Bars
All techniques will be demonstrated and explained. Students will then design a large bowl or platter using a selection of techniques
and then build, coldwork and slump their own masterpiece.
