Jewelry Fusing - Cabochons

Love a little "wearable" sparkle?

In our jewelry fusing class even experienced artists are likely to learn a lot about adding depth and detail to jewelry "micro-art".

You'll learn techniques for making professionally finished pendants and cabochons that have the kind of detail and optics typically found in gallery quality paperweights - only much smaller. You will learn to create and use components like minicabs, murrini, glass threads, and more.

As time allows we will also cover basic cold-working (grinding and polishing, etc.) for small objects and drilling (both threading holes and donut pendants).

This class has also proven to be especially popular among mosaic artists looking to set their finished pieces apart by adding the truly unique tesserae that only fused glass allows.

Students will make up to a dozen pendants, earings or other pieces.
