Best of the Ebooks Boot Camp - Vol. 1

Stunning and unusual techniques, taught in person by the guy who literally wrote the book(s) on them!

We've selected some of the best projects from our acclaimed glass fusing ebooks for our first ever Best of the Ebooks Boot Camp.

This special class includes the complete library of Paul's ebooks and any new ebooks released within 12 months after the class!

This class is ideal for:

  • New glass fusers who want to jump-start their skills in an information-packed five days.
  • Experienced fusers who want to learn uncommon techniques that will allow them to create work that stands out from most other fused glass artwork.
  • Out-of-towners who cannot attend weekly classes but who want to benefit from the kind of education that only a world-class teaching studio like Helios can offer.

What we will cover:

Here are many (but not all) of the things you'll learn at this Boot Camp:

  • How to turn the smallest scraps into a cohesive design using fused glass bar melts.
  • The power of flashing glass with powder in order to turn ho-hum into holy cow!
  • The endless color and shape possibilities that can be achieved with dilution stacks
  • How to use easy to obtain materials to create controlled designs in bubbles.
  • Advanced approaches to kiln carving by building fiber pattern sheets
  • How to make and drape a stunning tree vase
  • How to make screen melts without having to buy expensive stainless steel screens
  • Mark making with a modern take on old-school tracing black enamel
  • In depth discussion of problem-solving based on the "Ending Fused Glass Disasters" book
  • Other surprise projects not listed above!

With a balanced combination of discussion, demonstration and plenty of hands-on time, our boot camp is a great way to set yourself apart with techniques and methods not taught elsewhere.

The Helios classroom is well stocked with tools, supplies, and glass (including every color and size frit that Bullseye manufactures).
