(Past) Mastering Glass Drops

$280.00

Mondays ◆ Aug 12, 19, 26 ◆ 6:30pm-8:30pm (3 Sessions)

Class Level: Intermediate, beginners also welcome

Teacher: Taylor Vaughan

Take your glass into another dimension! Fused glass drops are one of the most fascinating techniques for sculpting your designs into 3D works of art.. Unlike slumping, the glass stretches, changing shape, distorting patterns, and blending colors in your design. In this class you’ll master the basics with one tall narrow vessel and one medium size project. You’ll learn about the tools required, the unique firing process and open the kiln to watch as your glass transforms.

About Taylor Vaughan

Taylor is a child of Helios! He’s been fusing glass since 2019 and spent the pandemic watching videos, experimenting and  firing his kiln daily. Making drops is one of his favorite ways to make the most of pattern bars, pot melts and stack construction. So far his work has been sold online, in vending machines across the US and displayed in the West Austin Studio Tour.
