Teacher: Malina Cipleu

This is a perfect class for all levels! We will create intricately detailed fused glass elements using your favorite colors from Bullseye’s entire line of powdered glass, water, and silicone molds! The pieces created could be later on made into jewelry, incorporated in a bigger piece or displayed as they are. In this 3 day workshop we’ll walk you through making as many pieces as you can fit on two 10in x 10in shelves. You’ll choose your favorite designs from our extensive collection of silicon molds, or bring your own. Bring your family, bring your friends. It’s as easy and fun as building a sand castle with wet sand!

About Malina Cipleu

Malina Cipleu is an Austin-based artist born and raised in Transylvania, the Northwest region of Romania. For the last 10 years, working primarily with fused glass, polymer clay, and sterling silver, she’s been creating a wide range of work from functional objects, to fine art, to jewelry. Her work responds to an intuitive search for harmony and balance, inspired by rhythm, beauty, and impermanence in the natural or man-made world.

Malina’s fused glass journey includes classes with Paul Tarlow, Kari Minnick, Bob Leatherbarrow, Richard Parrish, Morgan Madison, Linda Ethier, Alicia Lomne, Kristine Shafer, Evelyn Gottschall Baker, and over a decade of personal research and experimentation.

She started recently to share her passion for kiln-formed glass through teaching hoping to help others realize the unlimited potential of this medium and its beauty.
