Join instructors Dianne Sonnenberg and Kristine Shafer in this popular class, and create your own one-of-a-kind work of art using both fused glass and mosaic techniques.
We will focus on universal geometric patterns: mandalas! This 5 week course will feature brand new elements from Dianne’s newest Mandala class offering “Mandala Design II: Adding Depth and Meaning”. The class is suitable for both beginners and advanced students, as you can approach the techniques at your own level. No prior experience in fusing or mosaic is required.
You will learn:
how to create a variety of fused glass elements that you can use in your design, including a central focal point
mosaic techniques, including cutting and shaping, andamento, working with color palettes, adhesive use, grouting, and more
design skills utilizing fascinating techniques grounded in sacred geometry and nature.
Each participant will design and create their own unique 12” round glass mosaic mandala on MDF board. There is plenty of room for individual expression, and you will leave the class with a greatly expanded artistic skill set!
All materials are included, including a fun and useful mandala design kit put together by Dianne!
