Lovers

$1,500.00

by Tami Rauch

17" x 21"

Lovers was achieved using custom and precise glass powder application techniques. Its multilayer glass powder application gives it depth. The designs, a combination of abstract forms with real-life imagery, add to the feel of intrigue evoked by this art piece.

Lovers is part of my journey of discovery as a glass artist. Here I used my previous drawing and painting experience, to achieve a similar effect in glass.

Artist Statement:

I'm a pediatric dentist.

I create exquisite, innovative, handcrafted kiln-formed fused glass art. I strive to capture the dynamic beauty of nature through the interplay of light, color, shape, and shadow, I infuse still objects with a sense of movement and dynamism.

My pieces, characterized by bold colors, intense forms, and captivating textures, bear the unmistakable mark of my unique style. Each project unfolds through a meticulous iterative experimentation, innovation, and problem-solving process. There’s a dynamic relationship between my vision and the inherent properties of glass. I challenge the glass, and the glass challenges me. Ultimately, it is not imagination that sets the artist’s boundaries, but one's understanding of the medium and a willingness to embrace the unexpected.

I welcome studio visits, commissioned projects, and collaborations.
