Raindrops

$150.00
Sold

by Barbara Stansfield

6.5" x 6.5" x 3"

Watching water play on glass has always fascinated me, especially as I grow older and rain appears less frequently on my windows. Using only blues and whites on a clear canvas allowed the colors to flow freely, just as water droplets flow on glass during a storm.

Artist Statement:

Diving into the world of fused glass opened up new worlds to me, from meeting like-minded artists and exploring color theory to summoning the courage to use a table saw. This art form has given me creative expression and passion that I did not previously have, and I see in glass the possibilities and opportunities I never saw when I worked in clay or other mediums. A day that I find a new shade of blue or that I open the lid to see what the kiln gods have bestowed upon me is a day open to cheerful discovery.
