Sail Away for the Day

“Sail Away For the Day” is a metaphor for what working in the studio is for many of us. A piece that takes a journey through mesmerizing lines of reaction showing sails of opaque and transparent color. It also represents the joy of my glass journey as the final project from a reactions class that introduced me to quite a few new techniques.
Artist Statement:
Between caring and not losing myself, art, creativity and a sense of humor have proven to be my most trustworthy companions.
Nature and the abundance of images created by light casting its highlights and shadows are an endless source of inspiration for me. The absurdities of pop culture and daily life inspire the pieces that carry some humor in them.
I love experimenting with different shapes and colors blending them together to create something truly unique and eye-catching. My goal is to capture the essence of my inspirations and bring a bit of magic into everyday spaces. I believe art should be approachable and enjoyable, so I strive to keep my work playful and accessible. I hope my work brings a smile to your face and a touch of joy to your life.
